Origasmi
These amusing little artifacts have been extremely
popular for millennia - and not entirely on the side of Hell, either. The name is actually a bit of a misnomer;
this is an extremely wicked era (pay no attention of the faint murmur of
'You're welcome' coming from the Descending Hierarchy - it happens all the
time), and so people have focused on the sexual possibilities. Although, come to think of it, by that
standard every era where these items have shown up has been extremely wicked
(there it goes again)...
But let us return to the matter at hand. Origasmi appear to
the uninitiated (and unAware) eyes as regular pieces
of origami paper. Mostly, they are paper - but each one is impregnated
with refined ectoplasm. Not the regular
kind; it's far too gooey for this sort of thing. No, this is ectoplasm properly cut with
moonlight and run through an alchemical furnace while being stirred with a
unicorn's horn... you know, the usual symbolic nonsense. However the artificers do it, what you get is a paper that is extremely
sensitive to recording a memory of various sensations. To activate, you fold the paper into a
regular origami form while thinking of the desired sensation (and make a Will
roll at -1). The next person to pick up
the Origasmi and hold it for more than five seconds
will have said sensation replay in their own heads. Duration is about 10 seconds.
Origasmi are, alas, quite useless as
bombs or weapons; while unpleasant sensations can be transmitted, even a human
brain will shy away from the full effects (you can discomfort somebody with one
of these items, but never cause any sort of damage). Besides, the sybaritic possibilities are
quite interesting enough in their own right, which is why Servitors of Lust and
Gluttony on one side and Servitors of Creation and Flowers on the other make
them. Some aesthetes collect emotional
states from the most refined (or coarse) individuals. Others pay handsomely to savor wines drunk
centuries ago, let alone taste flesh from extinct or endangered animals. Still others use the opportunity offered by Origasmi to truly explore alien viewpoints.
But, mostly, they use it for sexual
gratification. It's just one of those
things.

points. The sheets cannot be reused once
successfully activated.
